Open Access Policy
Ettisal: Journal of Communication ISSN 2599-3240 (Print) and ISSN 2503-1880 (Online) upholds the principle that unrestricted access to scholarly work enhances global knowledge exchange and strengthens academic collaboration. All articles published in Ettisal are fully open access and freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or access fees. Under this open access policy, readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, in accordance with the terms of the applied Creative Commons license.
All articles published in Ettisal: Journal of Communication are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Under this license, users are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for non-commercial purposes. This reuse is permitted provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and Ettisal as the original publication venue, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are clearly indicated. Furthermore, any derivative works must be distributed under the same license as the original content. Commercial reuse of the published content is not permitted without explicit prior permission directly from the copyright holder(s).
Authors retain full, unrestricted copyright and publishing rights to their work without restrictions, granting Ettisal: Journal of Communication a non-exclusive right of first publication. Authors are allowed and encouraged to deposit all versions of their work—including the submitted, accepted, and final published PDF versions—in institutional repositories, personal websites, or subject repositories at any time, provided that proper acknowledgment of Ettisal as the original place of publication is provided. Archiving Policy
Ettisal: Journal of Communication is committed to the long-term digital preservation of all its published scholarly content to ensure continuous and permanent access. All published articles are archived digitally [here: https://web.archive.org/web/20260210051537] in the Internet Archive [https://archive.org/details/ettisal] repository and preserved through the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN). In addition to third-party digital preservation networks, full-text articles are permanently backed up on the journal’s official servers and institutional storage at Universitas Darussalam Gontor [ettisal@unida.gontor.ac.id].
Authors are fully permitted to self-archive all versions of their published work (submitted, accepted, or published versions) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or subject-based repositories at any time, with proper attribution to Ettisal: Journal of Communication as the original venue of publication.
Publication Frequency
Ettisal: Journal of Communication is a peer-reviewed journal published biannually, releasing two issues per year in June and December. Each issue contains 5–15 high-quality research articles.
The typical publication timeline and key milestones are as follows:

Review Process: The double-blind peer-review process generally takes 4–5 months, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript revision cycles (we usually receive many submission in May and November - do not be hesitate to contact us about this availability).

June Issue: Final acceptance notification is issued by June 10, with full publication on June 30.

December Issue: Final acceptance notification is issued by December 10, with full publication on December 30.
